Terms of Service

By submitting a commission request, you acknowledge and accept the terms listed below.

  • I have the right to refuse a commission request for any reason.

  • Listed prices, terms, options, and restrictions are subject to change.

  • Ensure you have an idea and a detailed description of what you want. You can also show references, so I can better envision the final piece. Make sure they are clear and legible.

  • If you violate my restrictions or attempt to bypass them, I hold the right to temporarily or permanently refuse any future commission requests (blacklist).

  • Turnaround time (TAT) is between 1 and 3 weeks. However, this can be heavily varied by queue and complexity of art.

  • All art commissions are digital, and you will be sent a .png file version of it. Inform me if you want a different file type.

  • You will be updated if there are any delays.

  • You will be given watermarked WIPs for each stage of the commission (sketch, lineart, color, shading/lighting, background, final touches). You are free to ask for WIPs.

  • For more completed commissions, revisions are free in the sketch phase, and up to two (2) free minor revisions or adjustments afterward.

  • For a sketch commission, you are allowed up to two (2) free minor revisions or adjustments (e.g. color changes, minor pose changes)

  • There will be an extra charge for any additional revisions or for major revisions, determinant based on the circumstances (e.g. more than two minor revisions, complete pose change, redrawing the character, changing the background, redoing the entire work).

  • If you are on a tight budget, I'm open to negotiating.

  • I can accept 50/50 or full payment upfront.

  • Upfront payment is required to secure an open slot and for any progress to be made. No "test sketches".

  • Full payment must be completed before the final, unwatermarked piece is sent.

  • Payment is accepted through PayPal, Stripe, Cashapp, and Square. You can also pay through the Artistree form commission page (Available in the "Contact Info" page).

  • By default, all commission requests will be classified as personal. It's your responsibility to let me know if your request is intended for commercial purposes. Keep in mind that the pricing is different for commercial use.

  • You may upload or post the commissioned artwork on any website, as long as you properly credit the work and use the watermarked version.

  • Commercial use commissions are pieces primarily directed for monetary compensation or commercial advantage (promotional material, online or offline advertising, material used for printed or digital publications, material used for filming/TV/streamed shows, any material intended to make a profit).

  • You are not allowed to use a personal commission for commercial purposes. If you have a personal commission that you want to use for commercial purposes, the fee is +100% on top of the starting rate.

  • Personal commissions are allowed to be used for personal prints or purposes that do not fall under the "commercial use".

  • Regardless if the commission is commercial or personal, you don't own the exclusive rights to the art piece. I, the artist, maintain ownership for my own personal or commercial use, and the right to display it on my portfolio or socials.

  • You are not allowed to use the work for AI training or NFT creation.

  • Once work starts on a commission, a refund cannot be issued and the buyer can't request a refund.

  • If for any reason I am unable to fulfill your request following payment, you will be issued a full refund. You may also request the incomplete product.

  • When issuing a refund through PayPal, I will transfer the money to you directly. Please do not request a chargeback.

  • (Exclusive to PayPal) If the commission is fulfilled, and you have received the work or were refused a refund, do not request a chargeback. I hold the right to blacklist you if you do this, and I will decline the chargeback.
